What's New on the River

RiverQuest departs from HADDAM, Route 82.  Please join our mailing list below!

For the Thursday, February 23rd, totally sold out.

For Saturday and Sunday (02-25 and 02-26), I have a few openings here and there. Just book on-line and if it works, you're on! If not, please try another day. Thanks!

On Saturday,02-18, we saw 13 eagles, including two Golden Eagles (a picture fo one below). First time in four years that we have seen Golden Eagles. Very exciting. Also saw ducks, hawks and other winter wildlife. On Sunday the viewing was not quite as good. With the high pressure and warmth of the sun, the eagles were flying very high, barely visible, but, it was still a beautiful day on the river, we had at least one good viewing on all three cruises, including a view of both of our local eagle's nests and everyone had a great time! Not bad for February. ALSO, see "below" bottom of the page, to a link to the Decorah Eagle's nest in Iowa.....a live cam of an Eagle's nest. Two eggs laid thus far.

There are not as many eagles (although they are there!) or ducks as in previous years, which is no surprise, because with no ice anywhere, including way up north, the eagles did not have to migrate or can be on any back water. We are still having a great time on these cruises and after the ice and snow of last winter....it is nice just to get out on the river!
